San Francisco Street Food Festival
San Francisco is a fabulous foodie city. Within walking distance of my apartment I have an organic bakery, a fabulous fondue spot, a taco truck that serves gourmet French food, and dozens of other restaurants. But last weekend, I spent the day at the San Francisco Street Food Festival -- an orgy of tasty treats and fabulous eats from restaurants, food carts, caterers, and taco trucks all over the Bay Area. And the funniest part: the festival was sponsored by Pepto Bismol!
Tips for the Festival
- Bring plenty of cash. Wells Fargo is a sponsor, and there was a cash machine available, but the stands only take cash.
- Buy a pass online before you go. You can get substantial discounts if you buy a pass online. We didn't, and we wished that we had.
- Go early. By noon the place was packed! Especially for those going with kids and strollers, go early to beat the crowds.
- Take public transit. There was only on-street parking in the neighborhood, and we were very glad we had taken the bus.

Yum! SF really is a fabulous foodie city. We've been indulging in some fab food in Paris the last few weeks, but also looking forward to stopping in SF on our way to Asia for the winter. We WILL catch up on some food faves! You made me drool in anticipation. ;)
