Wonders of the World Wednesday

The charming Ms. Becky Ramsey is hosting a blog party today.

I am a party girl, so welcome to all my guests!  The prosecco is flowing.  Make sure you try the pasteries, too!

So, my choice for Wonders of the World...   Dogs!

Humans and dogs have been companions for 15,000 years or more.
Imagine that.

The furry little body snuggled up against my feet right now -- her place has been filled by generations upon generations upon generations of dogs, all of whom have done the same things.  They have protected us.  We have helped to feed them.  Dogs provide companionship.  We reciprocate.  They helped us hunt.  We shared the spoils.  They guarded our children.  We raised their pups.  And while some may argue that I am anthropomorphizing here... well, we love dogs, and I hold that they love us.

Our house without a dog was sad and lonely.  With a dog:  we have a home and a family.

So, here's to the wonder of dogs!

Amen Angela!
What would we do without dogs? Tanner the Slobber Dog is a real part of our family and adds so much to our lives! It's enough to make me ignore all the dog hair dust bunnies. Well, almost!
Thanks for joining in the party! It allowed me to discover your blog and it made my b-day even more fun!
I hope you have a great day!

I am a converted dog lover thanks to our Havanese puppy, Chuck. You can see a picture of him on my post today at Rare Rocks.

Great to meet you at this party!

Oh, and my maiden name is Nickerson! I meant to say that in my first post.

This is my first visit.

You are a girl after my own heart.
I love dogs.

Tommy (our Basset hound) makes our day on a regular basis.

We own a dog, and yet, when I bike, country dogs terrify me. They know I'm scared... they know I'm coming.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by for the party!

And Felicity, Nickersons are always welcome at Just Go! You know that all American Nickersons are related, don't you?? If you didn't know, check this out:

I am just a Nickerson by marriage... I had no idea what I was getting in to!

Awww, dogs are one of my very favorite wonders! Someone said that you can't buy unconditional love. Someone never bought themselves a dog!

I somehow missed this post the other day, but I totally agree! I can't imagine a life without dogs. We just adopted a goofy lab mix - she drives us nuts, and cracks us up.

Welcome back! If you haven't already, I hope you'll subscribe to my RSS feed so we can stay in touch. Ciao!
